Light Lover No.5
Light Lover No.5
Each glass piece I create is entirely its own—no two the same. My process of stained glass is intuitive, loose and organic, creating balance and a bit of dance between the hanging pieces. Whatever pieces are left behind go on to inform the next. I strive for wabi wabi in my stained glass, letting the soldering create a sense of movement and sculpture between the pieces. . These pieces are textured and angular, bright and delightful. These pieces thrive in light, you can hang from a suction cup* on your windows or they can be strung up in front of a window, allowing them to twirl and dance.
These are my love letters to the light.
*To use your suction cup most successfully, clean your window surface first, wet the sucker and press firmly in the center. Lightly place your piece on the hook and see if it’s the right size for the weight of your catcher. If not, size up. Suction cups are not fool-proof and should be checked on occasionally and reinstalled for best results.
Stained glass is made with lead, don’t attempt to eat or lick. Please handle your piece with care as they are very fragile, do not bend or alter any of the thin wire attachments. In general, best not to attempt to bend, hug, toss, or smash. Keep away from children and cats. If anything has broken on arrival, please email hello@ashleymary.com within 24 hours for to find a solution that works best for you (fixing or partial/full refund).
